I am often asked – What are the Best Resources for Bloggers to use in 2020? There is no absolute list for this but I will go through Best Tools for Bloggers and Best Resources for Blogging and Exactly What a Blogger needs to be Successful?
Welcome to my Ultimate Guide to Bloggers resources and all the necessary blogging tools a blogger needs to be successful, which includes the software and resources that I personally use and recommend to all of you.
All the tools are personally used or tested by me.
Having the necessary tools is necessary for every blogger even for the new bloggers.
But there are a lot of resources article out there who has some bold claims in unnecessary resources.
I will only recommend the tools and resources I have used here or which I think are most suited for every type of blogger.
They are the best tools around to help you grow and monetize your blog and help you become a successful blogger.
Here are the Best Tools and Resources For Bloggers in 2020-
1. Hosting and Blogging Platform
The first tool that we are going to discuss is the most basic tool that every blogger needs – Blog Hosting and Platform.
Hosting plan and blogging platforms are the most basic yet most important tools your blog requires.
These tools lay the foundation of your blog and help you become a successful blogger.
Choosing a hosting plan is quite a frustrating process and it is one of the most important for your blog and career, so you have to be extra researched before purchasing any hosting.
I am going to help you get the best hosting that you will ever need for your blog and which I use.
Let’s first discuss the Blogging platform before getting to Hosting plans.
The first step in building your foundation is choosing the best blogging platform to run your blog on.
It is the world’s largest blogging platform.
Another thing to know before blindly choosing WordPress is that there are two WordPress platforms out there and many of you don’t know that.
There are WordPress.com and WordPress.org and yes there is a huge difference between them.
WordPress.com is actually free and hosted on wordpress.com’s server while WordPress.org is self-hosted.
WordPress is hands-down the best platform to run your blog on.
Technically they are both free but with WordPress.com you can host your site for free and you can even have a domain for free (which is not a professional domain).
But, with WordPress.org you have to purchase your own hosting which can cost you around $2.95/month if you buy hosting from Bluehost which is what we suggest and we personally use.
WordPress.org or also known as self-hosted WordPress is the REAL WordPress. When you see people talking about WordPress they are referring to wordpress.org and not wordpress.com.
Basically, WordPress.org requires you to purchase your own hosting plan and a domain name.
I won’t go through all the details in these articles as I already have a very detailed post explaining the difference between them both and this article will become extremely long if I went to explain everything that I have already done before.
You can click below to check my post on the topic(don’t worry it will open in the new tab).
Just remember that you have to choose .org and not .com if you want a self-hosted blog and a successful blog.
I have used some free hosting for my old blog and trust me they are not good for your blog. And I have also used Siteground as my blog host in my old blog and eventually I had to move to Bluehost.
I currently use Bluehost and I have been using it for more than 2 years now and I can say Bluehost is the Best blog hosting site out there.
Bluehost is giving a special discount for everyone who is ready to sign up through my affiliate link.
Bluehost is giving 50% off to everyone who clicks on “Get Started” below. Instead of 7.99$, they are giving 3.95$ for their hosting.
I have used and still using Bluehost as my Hosting provider and I would only recommend Bluehost because of my great experience with them.
I have a dedicated post on Bluehost and why you should choose Bluehost as your hosting provider and it also covers a few other questions that you might have in detail like –
- Why you should not be using a free hosting service?
- And Why I don’t recommend the other hosting services I’ve used in the past?
- Why WordPress is the best blogging platform and why you should use it without any doubt?
- And Why Bluehost is the best blog hosting site out there and how easy it is to set up your blog with Bluehost?

2. Blog Themes
Once you’ve set up the foundation of your blog, the very next step is to design it with a great theme and other customizations!
Themes are the most attractive part of your blog and it makes your viewers stay longer on your posts.
I recommend these two themes for Bloggers. And why I recommend them is also described below.
Divi Theme (Beginners)
This theme is my most recommended and Best WordPress theme because of its high customization and user-friendliness.
You can use this theme for almost any type of style due to its customizability. Some of the features that Divi offers are –
- Divi Builder
Thank god! Divi theme comes with a very reliable builder. Divi builder is a reason why I recommend newbies to use this theme instead of thousand others out there.
It offers you unlimited customization from colors and icons to page and post formats without writing a single line of code.
I know coding is difficult and not every blogger knows how to code(including me).
Almost every theme has builders that come with them but the problem with them is the lack of customization available and the difficulty in use.
Divi builder is so simple to use and it offers drag and drop interface (even your kids can use it). Click on the below image to learn more about Divi.
And still, if you find it difficult you have 18 pre-set layouts and 800+ Pre-made Designs that Divi offers which doesn’t need much customization and you will be able to set your blog up in an hour.
1. Very Powerful
Divi theme is incredibly powerful. It comes with very unique plugins and options that will take you places.
When you purchase this theme you will also get access to the entire Elegant Themes Market, which includes over 70 other themes and many more.
In case, if you don’t end up loving Divi then you have 70+ other options to choose from.
And some of the other themes like Extra theme, Gleam theme, Vertex theme, Origin theme and many more.
Another great thing about this theme is that it is very user-friendly and I think this is the most user-friendly theme in the market.
When I purchased this theme I played around with few things and looked at all the features for few hours and after that, I got used to it and I built my whole website without any knowledge of HTML within 3 days.
Can you Imagine a fully functional website from a person who doesn’t know sh*t about coding in 3 days?
3. Wonderful Support
They have great customer support and trust me this is very important while considering which theme to buy.
I have used some free themes in the past and it was painful to use them and on top of that, they don’t actually help you with anything unless you upgrade to their plus plan.
But that is not the case with Divi because they have a great customer support team that will help you with anything.
Although you won’t be needing any help because they have tons of articles on every problem that you might find yourself into while using Divi.
Even Elegant’s themes blog provides enough blogs on Divi to get you all fired up and build your website.
I am not saying they are the fastest customer support out there but they are definitely helpful.
Consider buying gold from a goldsmith with a full money-back guarantee if you lose it. That’d be great. Right? But it’s also not possible.
But it is true with Divi, There really is no risk in buying Divi, as they offer 30-days no questions asked money-back guarantee.
Although Divi comes with a lot of great features It does have a single CON which can be deciding factor for many newbies-
1. More expensive
Divi Theme costs around 89$ and it’s not a one-time payment. It costs 89$/year. You can buy Divi with lifetime access for a one-time payment of 249$.
I suggest you buy and use it for a year and if you like it you can always upgrade later.
I made a mistake while starting my first blog (which was a BIG FAILURE) with a free theme and it was awful. Trust me nothing is FREE with free themes.
Genesis Theme (Advanced)
THIS IS NOT A BEGINNER FRIENDLY THEME.
Genesis Framework is really NOT meant for newbies. It is meant for advanced users.
I used Avada and X theme for my old blog and after a few months, I upgraded to Genesis Framework.
We had more than 8 months of experience by that time but after buying Genesis Framework, I was SHOCKED,
I didn’t understand anything at first but after a few days of learning I can get through some stuff but it was not at all enough for my website to look decent.
Then, I had to hire a professional to build my website. Let’s look at the reasons why I bought this theme and recommend it even though it was very difficult.
YES! Speed is the main reason why I bought this theme.
Hands down this is the fastest theme on the market right now.
Speed is one of the key factors for your website’s traffic. Around 40% of your visitors drop in the first couple of seconds if the page doesn’t load.
And speed also helps in the SEO aspect of your website.
2. Customer Support
Almost all the themes offer few months or a year of support with their theme but Genesis Framework provides support for the lifetime.
Yes, it costs a little extra. The basic framework costs $59.95 and the child theme will cost around $30.
This makes the total cost of the theme around $90.
And also if you don’t know anything about coding like me, then probably you will end up hiring a professional to build your website which will again cost you a lot depending on where you live.
Also, there are two plans for the Genesis Framework as you can see in the image above.
I recommend you to stick with the basic framework package.
If you want extra plugins and themes then you can go with pro membership and that will be definitely worth it.
2. Customizability for Non-Coders
If you are a beginner there is a strong chance that you won’t be able to customize this theme on your own due to its advanced coding interface.
This theme is highly customizable through coding but without any knowledge of coding, you won’t be able to customize it easily.
3. Not easy at all
This theme is recommended for the advanced user who knows about coding or is ready to spend some bucks on a professional to build their website.
I have many days and I wasn’t able to build even half of my website back then, I had to hire a professional to build the site for me.
There are many other themes that may suit you and I have two posts on this topic which you can check out below.
3. WordPress Plugins and basic Blogging Knowledge
After setting up WordPress and almost ready to roll and on your way to write your first ever blog, but wait, you shouldn’t be in such a hurry because you have zero plugins on your website and you don’t know the first thing about blogging.
Well, I will tell you exactly what you will need.
Plugins are a great way to optimize your website and there are millions of them out there and that doesn’t mean that you should install as many as you can.
No, you should only install which you really really require to run your blog.
Now, you may ask why?
Well, plugins take space on your website, which means they slow your website down a lot and a slow website is a bad sign for Google for ranking.
I won’t go in detail about the plugins a lot as I have a very researched post on plugins that you must install on your blog.
Although I will mention some of the most important ones like Yoast SEO, Monsterinsights, and Short Pixel Image optimizer.
You should really read my post on – Best Plugins that you must install for your blog and I will also tell you why to install them.
Basic Knowledge about Blogging.
You might agree that to do anything new a person require at least a little knowledge about that thing.
And if you want to consider that thing as your future career than you should really know a lot about it.
You can definitely learn a lot of things on the internet and you have unlimited resources to learn anything. But there are also resources out there which are just time waste for you.
For the basic of how to start a blog and setting up a blog, you should really consider reading my blog on –
It is over 6000 words long and it is very definitive as I have already mentioned earlier in this article.
But that’s just the basic set up and ready to go guide.
To be very successful in your blogging career you should read a lot about almost every aspect of blogging.
You will see most of the useful information in my blog posts that are scattered in various topics which you can find at the end of this article after the conclusion.
If you have time then you should really go through them as I research a lot before writing any post and I write very descriptive guides here.
And I am not saying that you should only read my blog but you should be reading and acquiring knowledge from anywhere where there is good content.
Also, I have recommended a few books on blogging which will be just perfect for you.
I have a dedicated post where I recommended 5 books that a blogger should read before launching their blog or even after few months in their blogging career.
But I will mention 1-2 books here but If you want to see all of them (as they are spread on various topics) you should check out my blog on –
Here are two books from the post –
WordPress to Go – by Sarah Mcharry. This is a great book if you are new to the blogging world.
The book WordPress to Go covers everything you will need to know while starting out as a new blogger.
This is a really awesome book for beginner bloggers or anyone who has not been self-hosting but is considering it.
It walks you through every step imaginable on your journey through self-hosting and is very easy to read and understand even if you have no idea what you’re doing.
Although the author, Sarah McHarry Recommends starting a blog with Siteground.
If you read my post on which blog host to choose you will find out why Bluehost is a perfect way to go.
Anyways, the book goes through all the basic details on how to get your blog up and running and I recommend this book if you are new to the blogging world.
This book sure is a great choice to learn things about WordPress and all the basics.
2. Born To Blog
If you’re a novice, beginner, starting a blog in a new market, this might be the book for you.
As it is, though, I’ve been blogging for a long time.
Much of the advice in Born to Blog feels like rehashed advice, stuff I already know.
That said, if someone asks me how to start, I’ll hand them this book, recommend they read it, and then suggest we get together to discuss how to apply it to their situation.
There’s no way to beat experience, but this can help provide a lay of the land for getting started.
“Born to Blog” is a straightforward, concise guide to starting and maintaining a blog that’s geared more towards the beginner than the intermediate/advanced user.
I did like the organization and format for this book – it was easy to understand and gain perspective from the contributors and their tips to keep plugging away at the measure.
I did disagree with one assertion saying that bloggers aren’t “writers.”
Considering a large part of what you do as a blogger is writing.
4. Blog Design tools (Image Optimization, Editing Tools, etc..)
Your Blog’s design matter a lot. The design of the blog is what attracts your reader to stay long on your site and read your content.
Having proper images and attractive web design is very necessary especially if you are in a competitive niche.
Images you use should be attractive too especially the ones you are going to use in the marketing of your blog on social media.
Here is the list of everything you will need to make your blog look attractive.
Stock Photography Images
Stock photography isn’t always a great thing. Some photos are downright cringe-worthy.
But in most cases, stock photos can be a really great tool to have for your blog. Many of them look very beautiful and professional:
Here’s the deal…
You can’t just use any old image that you find in Google search on your blog. Those images are owned and protected.
If you go to google.com and search for any images related to your work and you copy them and paste them on your blog, you can get in a problem for that.
You can follow these steps to check which images you can use without getting into any problem.
1. If you want to make sure which images are copyrighted just click on tools on google images.
2. It can be found on the top right corner below the search bar and then use a filter and click images labeled for reuse.
It will eliminate all the copyrighted images for you but you won’t be needing it anymore as almost all the useful images will be gone.
Where can you get Stock Photos?
Stock photos can be purchased (or found for free in some cases) and used freely on your blog, and they also look very professional when you use the right ones.
Now, if you’re a professional photographer who wants to take the time and produce amazing photos for your blog…
Go for it!
They look MUCH more personal, and it’s definitely the better option if you have the time and skills.
I have even recommended a few starter cameras for your blog if you want to photograph them yourself in my blog –
But most of you will be more like us and not have the time or the resources to add incredible, personal photography to every post that you write.
My best recommendations for stock photos are –
Although the free options above have far fewer photos to choose from, they’re generally perfectly sufficient for most bloggers.
Depending on your budget and your desire for very specific photos, you might want to consider a paid plan.
Once you’ve found some great images to add to your blog, you need to use the following tools to help you edit and optimize them before uploading them to WordPress.
You don’t have to waste hundreds of dollars on graphic designers anymore. No more back and forth over design specifications for days on end!
What is Canva?
Canva is a free, web-based tool that allows you to easily create and design images for your posts, product images, social media graphics, and more.
You can try Canva Pro free for 30 days by clicking here.
Canva is one of the most useful app there is for my productivity and work. I create all my images on Canva and it is really great how easy it is to create some awesome images.
Some of the features include:
- Upload images or use their stock images (both free and paid options)
- Add text overlays, charts, and icons
- Save files as either images or PDFs
- Copy your designs and change sizes
- And more!
The best part is… It’s super easy to use!
No fancy Adobe Photoshop skills required!
You can create very attractive and eye-catching blog banners, Pinterest Pins, Infographics, and much more with just few clicks.
They offer a free version and a Pro plan with additional features. You can check out Pro plan for free for 30 days through our affiliate link below.
The upgraded features include the ability to automatically resize images and save images with transparent backgrounds.
ShortPixel is an image optimizer plugin and it does a lot more than resizing. It optimizes all the images that you upload or which are already uploaded on your site including thumbnails.
And There are options to select whether you want to include thumbnails or not.
There are lots of features this plugin packs in itself like –
- It can compress JPG, PNG, GIF (still or animated) images and also PDF documents
- You get an option to automatically convert PNG to JPG if that will result in smaller images. Ideal for large images in PNG format.
- no file size limit
- option to freely convert any JPEG, PNG or GIF (even animated ones!) to WebP for more Google love. How to enable WebP?
- great for photographers: keep or remove EXIF data from your images, compress images with the lossless option
- you can run ShortPixel plugin on multiple websites or on a multisite with a single API Key
- it is safe to test and use the plugin: all the original images can be restored with a click, either one by one or in bulk
- works great for eCommerce websites using WooCommerce or other plugins
- You can get 40 days optimization report with all image details and overall statistics
And many more.
With a Free plan, you get only 100 image credit per month (one credit can optimize one image). There are many plans available to select.
You can select either a monthly plan or a one time plan.
I will suggest you to upgrade to a monthly plan if you upload good no. of images or you can purchase a one time plan for optimizing images in a bulk.
Monthly Plans will give you great support and unrestrictive optimization. Image credits never expire so that is another plus point.
Start with a monthly plan, if you don’t like it you can cancel is anytime.
5. Email Marketing Tools and Resources
If you haven’t started building your email list yet, this is the #1 blogging tool you need to implement from this article.
Email marketing is the most important first step you need to take to Start making money online.
Because emails help you connect on a more personal level with your audience and begin building a relationship with them.
And the trust built in that relationship makes them more likely to buy from you.
Here are two of the best email marketing service in the market.
ConvertKit is the #1 best tool for bloggers to build and foster relationships with your audience.
There are a lot of email marketing tools out there that can be compared similarly but I will mention two of the best and ConvertKit has the edge among them.
They try to offer too many features, which makes the software unnecessarily complex and great at absolutely nothing.
The founder of ConvertKit, Nathan Barry, was a blogger himself before he started the company.
So he designed the platform to work specifically for bloggers — not eCommerce owners, software companies, or anyone else.
My favorite feature of ConvertKit is the ability to edit all of your emails in a particular sequence in one screen:
Trust me, it is really handy to have this.
This meant a lot of extra time editing emails and it also made it harder to see how your emails “flowed” from one email to the next in a sequence.
The moment I tried ConvertKit out and used this feature, I was hooked.
ConvertKit also comes with a ton of customizable landing pages and forms that integrate with WordPress to help you turn more readers into subscribers.
Mailchimp is another email marketing tool that many bloggers tend to choose.
Remember, Mailchimp and ConvertKit are the competitors in this market and it depends on you which one do you want.
For starters, Mailchimp’s cheapest or smallest plan is FREE. Yes, you saw that right.
Mailchimp Doesn’t charge you anything for newbies. You can avoid any investment in Mailchimp until you have more than 2000 subscribers.
Mailchimp offers its service for free until 2000 subscribers which are really great for bloggers who are just starting out.
And in addition to 2000 subscribers, you get to send 12000 emails/month. This means you can send up to 6 mails in a month if you reach 2000 subscribers.
You also have the option for customizable email broadcasts and you can also automate different campaigns according to your taste.
Just as ConvertKit, Mailchimp also allows you to Customize your opt-in forms for subscribers.
You can also access report insights from subscriber’s activity which is a great way to know active subscribers.
This is perfect for new bloggers who do not have tons of money to spend on every resource out there.
6. Blog Writing Tools
This next set of blogging tools and resources will help you improve your blog content from top to bottom.
They will help you write better content and headlines for SEO, maximize social media exposure, AND improve the grammar and readability of your content.
You must have seen some comments from Grammar Nazis on your content, right?
I think it’s quite hilarious when people take the time to read your entire article and then leave a lousy comment letting you know that you misspelled one word along the way.
An average person types what he thinks and while doing that a person makes a lot of mistakes.
You can always re-read your content after completing it but that doesn’t solve all of your problems as you might a few minor ones.
I even miss some mistakes after reading it twice. So there’s no surer way to know all the mistakes yourself.
Now here comes Grammarly to the rescue!
This software is one of the best blogging tools out there for grammar and proofreading. Grammarly is getting popular day by day now and even has a loyal customer base.
Grammarly will check your content for errors, misspelled words, and common grammar mistakes for you.
They also have their own application which you can download from their site and then copy and paste your word documents to check for errors and even proofread it for you.
You can choose to accept their corrections or ignore them.
Now, this is not a complete substitution for proofreading or double-checking your work. It’s still a computer checking your work, so it definitely does miss some things.
You can sometimes use the correct words but form the sentence in a way that it does not make any sense and Grammarly will not be able to find errors in it.
You still need to proofread all of your work but it will catch mistakes that you notice or miss, especially if you’re a fast typer like me!
7. Keyword Research and SEO Tools
Why is keyword research important?
Keyword research is essential for search engine optimization, or SEO, which is what helps your content get found in search engines like Google (or Pinterest and YouTube).
It’s not enough to just write great content.
Although I use Google Keyword Planner for my keyword research, I also use the below-mentioned tools for a variety of SEO purposes.
You also need to use the keywords that people are searching for to make sure that your content actually gets seen.
And you also don’t want to guess what these keywords might be, especially when there are some great keyword research tools out there on the internet.
Keyword Research is hard and it can also be very expensive considering you are new to blogging.
If you are looking for a valuable, fully-fleshed SEO tool, then get ready to spend hundreds of dollars.
Unless you are using Ubersuggest.
This tool provides a lot of bang for your buck. It is very cheap compared to others and the basic necessity that all bloggers need can be accessed freely.
The tool is easy to navigate and easy to use for newbies who don’t know much.
Every SEO tool has a different difficulty score, so it’s only helpful if you use it as a reference for the data provided by Ubersuggest.
This tool provides everything you want. It even you with backlinks that your competitors has.
Although It is not that great with Backlinks as Ahrefs and SemRush.
But if you want to spend as little as possible and get the value for your buck then Ubersuggest seems to be perfect for you.
It also has a tool that analyses your website for bugs and errors and if it finds something then it ranks those errors with their Impact level.
Which is really handy for new bloggers who don’t have much technical expertise.
SemRush is a great tool to have for SEO purposes, SemRush is among the best out there and many claims it is better than Ahrefs (including me).
This is a bold claim considering Ahrefs has a better market share and is more premium.
But I think SemRush is the best Value SEO tool out there. Ahref is a little more costly and it is better made for Backlink tracking purposes.
SemRush can do everything just like Ahrefs but I personally think that SemRush’s Keyword Research is way better than anything in the market.
I understand that Ahrefs is much better in features and services it provides especially the backlink tracking feature it has which is very strong.
But SemRush is perfect for almost everyone who needs value. I have been using SemRush and I never faced any shortcomings with it.
I Like the Magic Keyword Feature that it has which is best in the market.
If you are looking for all in one package with little less to spend then I will highly and exclusively recommend SemRush.
As you might know that SEMrush is very famous for its keyword research capabilities.
I can say it with confidence that SEMrush might be the best Keyword Research Tool in the market.
It is so easy to work with it.
It works like this:
Just enter your main keyword into the search box and hit enter. Within a few seconds, SEMrush will pull out the following data for the keyword(s):
- Volume of searches
- Number of results
- Phrase match
- Related Keywords
But there is another feature within SEMrush that’s often ignored by users –
The Keyword Magic Tool is a very easy-to-use keyword research tool that provides all the keywords you need to build an effective SEO or PPC campaign.
With the help of this tool, you can create tons of long-tail keywords essential to rank anywhere from just the main keyword.
After hitting search on the main keyword, The Keyword Magic Tool will then automatically calculate
- Keyword Difficulty
In addition to these metrics, SEMrush will also present you with a long list of long-tail keywords for the main keyword which can be exported onto a spreadsheet for manual sorting.
It is really hard to ignore how important these long-tail keywords are for ranking on any search engine.
Google has mentioned it many times that long-tail keywords are really necessary for a website to rank as it shows us what the post is about and help with our algorithm.
And you also get free access to one of the best Keyword Research Course offered by SemRush themselves by clicking below –
I don’t think there’s anything more that you need to try out SemRush and especially when they are giving a free trial of SemRush through my affiliate link.
Ahrefs can do pretty much everything that SEMrush can do but with a few extras.
Also, Ahrefs has a better backlink analysis and it is the best when it comes to tracking backlinks.
Acquiring backlinks from websites with a high domain authority is one of the quickest and best ways to get more Google traffic.
In addition to the backlink information, it also has a really awesome keyword explorer that gives you a ton of valuable information on the keywords in your niche.
But I personally feel that SemRush is best for Keyword Research in the market.
I personally use SemRush over Ahrefs considering the cost factor and the relative advantage which is little considering the price of both.
Yes, you might have guessed it that Ahrefs is costly and yes it is. So it is worth buying Ahrefs then?
It depends If you have enough money to invest in your blog or you are doing it for a long time and you know what you are doing then definitely go for it.
But if you are a beginner or with a low budget then you should really consider SemRush or Ubersuggest.
But if you have money to invest in your blog then you should definitely go with Ahrefs as It is the best in the market when it comes to backlinks and analysis.
Ahrefs is what you want to use when you’re looking to optimize what you do and get a competitive advantage over others in your niche.
8. Tools for Growing Your Blog
The next set of blogging tools will help you improve your content and traffic performance to get more visitors to your blog.
If you’re at all familiar with my content, you know that we recommend Pinterest as the best source of traffic for most bloggers.
And if you’re using Pinterest to drive traffic to your blog, there is only ONE tool you need to maximize the results you’re getting from your efforts: Tailwind
And if you are not using Pinterest then you should start using it now.
It is one of the most underrated platforms for digital marketers to promote their content and with the recent algorithm update, it just got way better.
Be sure to check out my posts on Pinterest Statistics to know for improved visibility and (ALGORITHM UPDATE) 5 Best Practices to Grow on Pinterest in 2020 (with Proof).
I assure you that you will learn a lot from these posts.
Now, about Tailwind-
Tailwind is the #1 software tool for Pinterest marketing, and it comes with the following features:
- Scheduler — to help you keep content organized and schedule it out ahead of time
- Analytics — to monitor your performance and help you create better strategies
- Tribes – Group of Pinners who share content in so-called tribes
- Smartloop – A feature that allows you to publish your pins in a loop at best times.
- Collaboration Tools — to help you increase your reach on Pinterest (super important as a beginner when you’re trying to get traction on the platform)
I have been using Tailwind for a long time now and I can assure you that this is one thing that you must have.
I have seen a tremendous increase in my traffic with this particular app and I don’t use anything beyond this to market on Pinterest.
And with the latest Algorithm change in Pinterest, You really need it to grow fast.
Tailwind is a partner of Pinterest and they work great together.
Tailwind also has a great team behind them who helps you with all your problems regarding their tool.
They have a lot of tutorials built-in and courses and they even organize a lot of webinars that you can enter for free if you have their subscription.
I am coming up with a detailed post on Tailwind and it’s the importance and uses. Be sure to subscribe to my email newsletter below to get notified (trust me, you don’t want to miss it).
Optimizing your content for Google SEO is TOUGH work and it’s not something that we think most new bloggers should be too focused on in the beginning.
That being said, it’s important to take at least a few basic steps to make sure that your content is looking good for Google.
The best tool for this is a free WordPress plugin called Yoast SEO.
You may have heard it already and even WordPress promotes this tool.
Yoast gives you a great view of how good is your post and how well it is optimized for SEO and Google.
It even has an indicator to show you how it is doing-
- Green Light — You’re in the clear and your post is looking pretty great in Google’s eyes.
- Yellow Light — There is some room for improvement and a few things you need to work on.
- Red Light — Your post isn’t optimized at all and you have a lot to work on.
It will also help you to take your content from red to green light.
I already mentioned Yoast in my detailed post on-
Make sure to check it out as you will see more great plugins just like Yoast.
It’s the best way to put in a little bit of extra work that translates into a lot more optimization for Google traffic.
If you have Ahrefs or any other paid SEO tool then you won’t need to invest in its premium plan.
9. Organizational Tools
The following blogging tools can help you grow your business and save tons of time by improving your productivity and organization!
LastPass (Password Management)
Do you have any accounts that you NEVER seem to be able to remember the password to?
I have forgotten my password a lot of times as I have a lot of different accounts at various different places and it is difficult to remember the passwords of all the places.
It frustrates the heck out of me.
LastPass is a tool that stores all of your passwords for you so you can log in anywhere in seconds!
It remembers the password for you so that you don’t have to and you won’t ever forget your passwords.
It also generates computer-generated passwords so it is extra secure and you won’t have to forge your own passwords.
The browser extension makes it super easy to log in to any site that you have a saved password for. It automatically fills the passwords for you.
And it is TOTALLY FREE unless you need some extra perks which are unnecessary.
So, when you visit a website, you can click the LastPass icon on the right to pull up your login credentials.
There is also a mobile app version so that you have access to your stored passwords on your phone as well!
I think this is even more important when you are running an online business because the more your blog grows, the more accounts you’ll have to set up along the way.
Now this is very obvious and everyone reading this might know what MS office is and probably you own it too.
But I can’t stress this fact enough that it is so helpful when you are a blogger.
A blogger needs certain applications to keep track of his/her data organized and there is no other software that can do it better than apps of MS offices.
Applications like Excel, MS Word(which is what I am using right now writing this draft), Powerpoint, etc..
You get my point and I think the majority of you will agree that having an application that can save time and can be used offline with any internet connection is quite handy when you are a blogger and always on the move.
For a blogger or any kind of business owner, it is really beneficial to take notes and write down ideas for blogs or work.
Blog planners are really essential for the smooth working of the business.
I carry my planner with me in my bag all the time as you don’t know where a new idea is gonna hit your brain and you have to make sure that when an idea hits your brain you must note it down.
It is quite a handful when you got a new idea and you have to write it down.
It is very frustrating when you don’t have anything to write down your ideas. Even if you have your phone with you but you don’t get the right feeling when you note it down on a phone.
There are many blog planners out there and most of them are really good but they don’t always provide everything that you need.
I am working on a post on the topic – Best Blog Planners for Hard-working Bloggers.
Be sure to subscribe to my newsletter to get updated when it’s published.
You will definitely need some office supplies like notepads, pens, and other essentials.
Office supplies are really handful to get the work done smoothly.
I don’t think that I would need to explain anything about office stationery as you may already know that it is really handy and useful for a blogger or even an average business person.
There are a lot of packs of full accessories included in a single pack and they are really easy and cheap and have everything that you will ever need.
I have listed all the tools and resources I use and recommend and I hope you liked this post. Do you have any suggestions for resources or tools?
Let me know in the comments below.
It took me a few weeks to write this post as well as test some tools for this post.
I know there were a lot of tools I didn’t write which are quite useful for bloggers but that is because I didn’t feel confident in writing about them.
There are some Plugins I missed which I have not covered in my “plugins” post but I am updating that post soon so be connected via my newsletter to know more.
If there are some tools that I might have missed which are supposed to be really useful in your consideration then please let me know in the comment.
I read all my comments and reply to them, I am sure to check them all out.
